Print Media — A collection of catalogs, lookbooks, and printed collateral
I have overseen print projects from concept through production, including art direction, design, vendor collaboration, proofing, press checks, and final print approvals.
This work has ranged from small promotional pieces and folded mailers to large-scale catalog production runs of up to 500,000 pieces. Beyond the projects shown here, I have also adapted campaign creative for publications including The New York Times, Vogue, and Harper’s Bazaar, as well as out-of-home formats across New York City including newsstands, phone booths, taxi tops, and billboards. This included preparing print-ready artwork, coordinating with vendors, reviewing proofs, and ensuring the final output matched the campaign creative.
Large-scale commercial print production
Large catalog runs are produced on industrial offset web presses that can span entire production floors and operate for long shifts at a time. Press checks involve reviewing pages in real time alongside operators — balancing color, density, registration, and material quality across thousands of printed sheets before final approval.
The responsibility is significant because once approved on-site, there is no room for correction. The role requires making judgment calls under production pressure, knowing when adjustments are acceptable, when issues need to be corrected, and when production should stop entirely until the output meets standard.
